What is the Sovren Semantic Matching Engine?

The Sovren Semantic Matching Engine (SME) provides the most powerful way to match jobs to candidates, candidates to candidate and candidates to jobs. This is accomplished by PROFILE matching, NOT KEYWORD matching. Profile matching is made possible by the data extraction, classification, and tagging technologies of the Sovren Resume/CV Parser and the Sovren Job Order Parser. The SME is the most configurable technology on the market enabling users to re-weight searching criteria real time to enable users to determine what candidate attributes are more or most important to finding the perfect candidate match.

Is the Sovren Semantic Searching and Matching Engine a stand-alone product?

No, it is not. The SME requires the Sovren Resume/CV Parser to be able to match the indexed output from the Sovren Job Order Parser to the indexed output of the Sovren Resume/CV Parser. Also, it is not a “install and run application”; it requires extensive integration.
