Languages and Regions
When considering language and regional support, it is important to know what type of content can be extracted for each combination of language and region. Unless otherwise stated, the Sovren Resume Parser is able to extract all 16 content types defined by the HR-XML Resume standard, plus numerous Sovren extensions, in all of the supported languages (listed below), and in a format that conforms to the HR-XML Resume 2.4/2.5 Schema. Languages
Full parsing of all 16 content types is currently supported in the following languages:
- Czech
- Dutch
- English, all markets
- French, all markets, including Canada
- German, all markets including Switzerland, Lichtenstein and Austria
- Greek
- Norwegian

- Spanish, also Catalan, Gallego, Basque, and some Portuguese
- Swedish

For Contact Information, the parser detects names, phone numbers, email addresses and Internet web addresses regardless of the language or region, but requires language support to distinguish locations (such as home versus work) and subtypes (such as telephone versus fax), and requires region support for postal addresses.

Implementation Details
All supported language and region functionality is embedded into the single version of the parser provided to every licensee. There are no separate files or add-ons necessary, and no separate licensing fees. All internationalization functionality is controlled through configuration options that can be set separately for each individual parse transaction, allowing a single instance of the parser to simultaneously support a wide variety of global configurations.
